As you probably know already my name is William Bitibiri. Yes, that is a lot of “I”‘s for one name. I see the number “I”s in my name as each standing for an individual quality I feel I hold. (I)nnovative, (I)ntuitive, (I)nquisitive yet (I)nformative as well as (I)maginative and eager to constantly (I)mprove.

I spend a lot of my time watching and analysing football and therefore spend a lot of time writing about the beautiful game. As Manchester United is the club I hold dear to my heart, I created Downthewings to “Talk of the Red devils”. However, I am a keen enjoyer of other sports such as Tennis and Athletics and also need a space to express my opinions on other things as well as merely football. I feel this is the perfect space for me to do this.

As I mentioned before, I’m a football man. So here you’ll be able to tap into my football knowledge as I provide ideas about topical things happening in the wider world of football. Here you’ll also find any independent interviews and write-ups I’m lucky enough to do while watching games of football or talking to someone important about the game.

Opinions on topical sports stories

I’ll also use this space to touch on things happening in the wider sports world. Racism in cricket, controversy in F1, while my knowledge of the two sports is limited, like most I have an opinion on such things so find me speaking about them here.

University Projects

As a second year Journalism student at the time of writing, I am lucky enough to work on Journalistic projects on a daily basis. I’ll use this platform to upload articles, features interviews and other forms of multimedia that I delve into during my time at City, University of London.
